Soil Testing & Remediation Consultancy
Not knowing what is in the soil is one of the greatest barriers for communities interested in urban agriculture. Pesticides, herbicides, petrochemicals, and heavy metal contaminants are common occurrences in urban soils. These byproducts of an industrialized past can inform and empower public discourse about restorative environmental justice and lead to the bio-remediation necessary for permanent equitable land-use resolutions. We provide soil testing services and remediation consultancy on an at-cost basis for non-profits. We prioritize non-profit projects in the under-served areas of Los Angeles, for which we provide these services at no-cost.
